What Causes Severe Headache Post Cervical Fusion Surgery?

I am 1 week post op cervical fusion of C5-6 with donor bone grafts. Today I ve developed a severe headache like the one after my myelogram which I had a spinal fluid leak and the pain has returned in my arm, which was gone after surgery until today. Is this normal or should I go to the ER?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, bettet to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intra cranial (inside the brain) causes.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
