What Causes Severe Headache Post Intercourse?

I have a very intense debilitating throbbing headache that came on immediately following intercourse/orgasm. It came on very suddenly. It has subsided a bit but now I am lightheaded and a little bit dizzy. This has only happened to me once before and I am wondering if it is anything to be concerned about. Is this is a common occurrence. I would appreciate any information or insight on this issue. Thank you for your time.

Hello,

* Intense headache with severity is not usual phenomenon observed after intercourse or orgasm, on the reverse it is proven to relieve headache after orgasm due to hormones released by various systems and you get extreme pleasure.

That can be possible in various conditions as

- new partner
- odd place, time, atmosphere, surrounding
- underlying stress , anxiety
- unusual act or unwilling performance by partner
- thinking of other world worries during the act
- others

I would request a physician check up if the same is becoming a persistent phenomena over a period of time.
