Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a spinal tap 10 years ago. Ever since I have been getting daily headaches which are intense and feel like migraines. The headaches cause neck pain and back pain. The pain is so intense that I can t perform daily activities. I have gone to a neurologist and he put me in physical therapy then suggested Botox injections. Would an MRI be worthwhile to see if I have a spinal leak causing this pain? Thank you
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, of course spinal tapping could cause the headache but this comes around soon and it may not long last, if this is suspected migraine then it may be associated with emotional stress, it is good idea to get done the MRI else this is nothing to worry but try to come out of the stress, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
