What Causes Severe Headache That Starts In The Afternoon?

every day for the last two weeks I have a head ache that starts in the middle of the day. Also if I bend over to reach for something on the floor the pain is very bad. I can take tylenol every four hours but it dosent take it all away and I have to keep taking tylenol.

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to back muscles spasms however neuro imaging with CT or MRI may be needed to rule out any signs of raised intracranial pressure or BIH. Neurologist review may also be needed for a detailed neurological examination.

Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful for symptomatic relief. Keep good hydration and vitamin B12 and folic acid may be helpful as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
