What Causes Severe Headache When Having A History Of Head Injury?

I have question concerning my husband. He got a bad head injury when he was younger that left him with a dented scar on his forehead. Now and then he will accidentally hit it with something sharp and it will send deep pains down his back and give him headaches. I am wondering -- if this keeps happening -- how bad is that for him? And also possibly what he can do to ease the pain when he does hit his head. Is laying down a bad idea?

take mriof brain and consult neurologist. look for other signs of head achae vomiting nausea and pupil size and reaction to light.vision should be tested.with these investigation and examination cause can be diagnosed.
