What Causes Severe Headache With Dark Shadow In Vision?
My whife has been extremely stressed ar work, last night she was complaing about a really bad head ache, this morning she told me she had a small dark shadow in her upper right vision, 5 hours later she said she can see another little shadow in her vision, is she having a TIA or worse, a stroke? She is 60 years old, 70 kgs, ex smoker.

The symptoms seem to be related to an ocular migraine. I suggest using Acetominophen three times a day to relieve the pain. The symptoms of migraine usually last at least 72 hours.
In case your wife does not feel better you can go at the emergency room for further evaluation.
