What Causes Severe Headache?
hey, im a 25 yom that has been experiencing a severe headache for the past 4 hours and otc medications has not helped at all. what concerns me the most is that the past 30min- an hour the pain is so severe that I have never experienced like it. the pain is NOT localized to one certain area im having constant pain over my whole scalp and maybe an acute portion of superior forehead. Its almost like a pressure type pain. I had a tonsillectomy 9 days ago and still recovering from that. any ideas?

it could be one of a few possibilities because u give a history of recent tonsillectomy I would like to consider sinusitis as a 1st possibilitiy for which u need to consult your ent surgeon for antibiotics, if however other possibilities are migrane headache for which ur doctor will prescribe pain killers and ant migraine meds.
