What Causes Severe Headache?

I am experiencing bad headache on the right temple, there s a pulsing and a protruding vein just noticed. loss of equilibrium at times, , hard to breath at times, pale, two nose bleeds today. Cold fingers and hot flashes, not myself incoherent and indecisive. legs shaky at times. I ve had about 6 episodes with these symptoms in the last 1 1/2 years.

I read carefully your question and understand your concern.

There are some different disorders which may mimic this clinical scenario:
1. A temporal arteritis would explain the headache on the tempels with the protruding vein
2. A viral infection would cause all the other general signs.
3. A high blood pressure would explain headache and nose bleeding
4. Thyroid dysfunction
5. Anxiety.

I would recommend you to consult with the neurologist for a careful physical examination for neurological signs, a routine blood test, renal and liver function tests and thyroid hormone levels. A brain CT scan may be necessary.
