Hi,

First of all, your husband should do some investigations every month such as fasting blood glucose and post prandial blood glucose. Moreover, he should do kidney function tests, HbA1c and a complete eye examination every 6 months. Second, Vitamins B complex are water soluble vitamins and they are essential for memory and healthy nervous system. Hence, your husband should take a vitamin B complex supplement once per day after meals and Benfotiamine 40 mg twice per day after meals. Third, healthy food can help him control diabetes and too much fat and salt in the food is unhealthy and can destroy the effect of anti-hypertensive drug he takes.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mustafa, Neurologist
