What Causes Severe Headaches Along With Chills And Body Stiffness?
My son (16 years old) has been complaining of an intense headache (started between his eyes and has moved up to his forehead), chills, and body stiffness for the past few days. He does not have any other typical cold symptoms and has felt well enough until today to continue to work. Should I take him to the doctor, or should I continue to give him Advil and Claritin? (He has recently started taking a very low dose of Ritalin for ADHD.) Thank you! Beth

The intense headache should be better evaluated. It can be caused by many factors such as infections, neurological factors etc. I suggest to go at the emergency room for further evaluation.
