What Causes Severe Headaches Along With Nausea And Vomiting?

My son is 30yrs old been having severe headaches. been to the hospital on saturday did a scan of his brain showed nothing . Still having the sever headaches nausea vomiting. they prescribed him pain pills too. seems not to be working. they said it is stress related and all because he did lose his father to cancer on thursday . should he still be having these symptoms this long. Im sorry I have no money at this time

He may have hypertension or migraine triggered by intense stress due to loss of his father. If he has pulsating pain on his head and photophobia, visional auras and tend to be avoiding light-noises; he may have migraine. I suggest measuring his blood pressure, increasing liquid intake and resting. If symptoms get worse, you must admit to the emergency service without delay.
