My 50 year old husband had a heart stent placed Wednesday after a 90% blockage was found in his main artery. He is taking Lipitor, plavix, metoprolol, 81mg aspirin and Zoloft. He was taking Imdur, but quit 48 hours ago because of a severe headache. The headache has not lessened. None of the treatments we have tried have touched it. What could be causing the headache and what might help with the pain?
It is possible that your husband has a primary headache disorder unrelated to the coronary artery disease (since that was fixed) as well as the Imdur since that's stopped. If he's been taking too much OTC analgesic then, it is possible that the medications themselves could be causing the headaches. It is not going to be helpful suggesting any medications without knowing your husband or being able to examine him
Hope I have answered your query.
