General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
I understand your concern. What you are suffering appears to be acute gastritis.
You need to take following medications to control this condition:
1. Liquid antacids.
2. H2 blockers like famotidine.
3. Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) like pantoprazole.
Do not lie down after the meal. Take small meals at frequent intervals. Avoid fats, onions, chocolate and alcohol in your diet. Restrain from taking beverages like coffee and tea, which are known to cause gastric irritation. Reduce weight as excess abdominal fat puts pressure on the stomach.
Hope these things would help you to overcome your symptoms.
All the best.
