I didn t take it with food. Is the pill still effective? Also I have a fever today, is this a side effect? Please help
To be effective Plan-B birth control pill should be taken as soon as possible within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse or a known or suspected contraceptive failure. Since you have taken it within 72 hours of unprotected sex, it can be effective.
Common side effects of Plan-B include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, dizziness, tired feeling, breast pain or tenderness, changes in your menstrual periods, or headache.
Fever is not the side effect of Plan-B.
It could be due to urine infection following the unprotected sex. I advise you to get the urine examination done and consult a doctor for proper treatment.
Hope this answers.
