What Causes Severe Hip Pain Post An Injury?

I fell two I fell two days ago when my hip locked up. At the time I only noticed the pain in my groin and the bruise in th corner of my left eye. I also got very sleepy afterwards and took a short nap. I saw my g.p. The next day and have scheduled an appt with an orthopedist to find out why my hip keeps locking up. Tonight I am noticing that it hurts to breath deep and I believe the left side of my rib cage is slightly puffy. Could I have bruised a rib?

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you go for an X-Ray chest PA view and lateral to rule out any injury to thorax and ribs, sometimes it can be superficial but this needs to rule out.

Meanwhile, you can take some muscle relaxant and analgesic which I am writing for you (Zerodol MR twice in a day for 5 days).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
