What Causes Severe Intermittent Cramps In The Ball Of Feet?
Have severe intermittent cramps in the ball of both feet. No apparent reason for the strike. They can be in both feet at same time. Have been eating a banana when this happens but have eaten so many I now cannot tolerate the taste anymore. Am diabetic (type 2) and have attributed this to that condition. Hope there is something else I can do to stop this strike of pain and cramping.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe intermittent cramps in the ball of feet . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like achilles tendinitis , bursitis , corns and calluses , diabetic neuropathy , goutP , plantar fasciitis , rheumatoid arthritis or tendinitis . I would suggest you to put your foot in hot water tub with epsom salt in it for 15 minutes daily , do gentle massage with sesame oil and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get well then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI along with physical examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory along with recommend physical therapy . Doctor may also refer you to podiatrist . Sometimes pain and cramps can also occur due to deficiency of vitamin E so also start taking vitamin E supplement .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
