What Causes Severe Itchiness All Over The Body?

I am suffering from itching all over my body, including my scalp, eyes, and inside nasal passages. I m using a humidifier, changed the filter on home heater, and am even taking meds bc my primary suspected it could be anxiety. I do not agree. I have no rashes. My little grandsons were in my yard (in my new home) and after only a few minutes complained that I had itchy grass . Although I don t spend much time outdoors, I was wondering if somehow allergens, weeds, etc. could infiltrate my home and cause this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
yes, allergy is the most probable reason I suspect for your itching. it is possible that allergens from the grass can get mixed in the air and contact with even a minuscule amount can result in allergic reaction
i recommend staying at a different place for a few days if possible. If the itching stops or decreases then its definitely allergy.
For treatment I recommend taking an over the counter anti allergic like Cetirizine.
Also a visit to an Allergist is recommended to know the exact allergen and try desensitisation.
