Few months back i had severe itching under my arm pits. i used to scratch my arm pits a lot then, after a few months i control scratching and the itchiness subsided. then after few days it again came back but now it was only under my right arm pit. I again scratched and now my skin just next to my arm pits has gone black with a dia of almost 2 inch and it itches too. Kindly suggest a remedy Thanks
I can understand your concern. It seems that you are suffering from fungal infection under your armpits.
You should antifungal medication such as Fluconazole 150 mg (Fole) once a day for 7 days. You can also apply Betnovate-C cram (Betamethasone Valerate + Clioquinol) 2-3 times day for a week. Stay away from too tight clothinga dn switch to cotton clothes if possible. Restrict your use of scented soaps and perfumes in the area. Avoid too sweet diet and keep regular hygiene in the area.
If the itching does not go away in a week, then you should consult a dermatologist for physical examination and further investigations.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. Let me know if you have follow up questions.
