What Causes Severe Itching And Burning Sensation Around Vagina?

Hi! Recently i ve been having severe itching and burning sensation in and around my vagianal area, involving only mucous membrane of external area. I have no discharge of any kind or any fowl smell or any redness or discoloration. I am 50 years old and sexually active, i still have my monthly period. I am very concerned about this problem plus its simply unpleasant and disturbing. This problem will comes and goes without any warning sign. What can it be? Can you help me?

Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a yeast infection. I recommend to use an anti fungal cream such as Miconazole cream. I also recommend to use anti fungal oral treatment such as Fluconazole medication.
