What Causes Severe Itching Around The Ankles?
I have a itching for years now, I also received many type of cream for this, but instead of it getting better; it come back even more than it was, it is biting, or it feels like it is chewing on my feet around the ankle. also try many Doctors but it is still there. Can you help?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe itching around the ankles . Well there can be many reasons for itching like allergic reaction to some unknown allergen and can also be de to Contact Dermatitis , psoriasis or siede effects of certain medicine . I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can advise you allergic tests like Patch test, RAST test, food challenge test etc to rule out the exact cause of allergic reaction and treat you accordingly . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment . Doctor may also take history to find out exact causing factor. You can take anti allergic like Allegra, Levocetrizine etc to prevent itching and apply steroid ointment to relieve itching and soothe the skin. Applying Calamine lotion can also help. You can also do cold compresses to reduce itching and redness .
