What Causes Severe Itching Around The Ankles?

Hi. I m Jules. I have had feet that have not healed in the last 4 years. Extreme dryness, itching uncontrollably at times and scales.... going up my feet and ankles. IT began with a severe allergic reaction to lawn fertilizer outdoors...and heals at times (to a degree) and gets worse. I ve been to a dozen doctors who give me creams and ointments and a shot. Nothing changes. Any suggestions? I m tired of wasting money and time

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If it is eczema or skin allergy then it is a chronic problem. You have to take antihistamines and apply moisturizer cream locally for long term.

Be patient and avoid allergen. If symptoms do not improve, please consult your Dermatologist who will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
