What Causes Severe Itching Around The Vagina?

Hi Sir, I have been having problem of severe itching sensation around the vagina which is unbearable..i consulted a gynacologist and she has prescribed Tab:Zanocin - OZ, Tab: PAN-D and Fembio capsules..i haven t faced the problem for 10 to 15 days during this course..no i am having the problem again..Please suggest me..

Dear welcome to hcm and thanks for choosing us.

In my opinion you have candida infection in vagina. It requires long term treatment. Antifungal pessaries are best for vaginal candida infection. Other possibility is bacterial vaginitis, which requires antibacterial tablets. One more possibility is dermatitis in the vaginal area. It may need steroids ointments.

You need to do the following
1 swab test of vaginal secretions to identify the organisms .
2 based on the report, treatment can be decided (antibiotics or antifungal or steroids)
3 take care of hygiene
