What Causes Severe Itching During Pregnancy?
Hi, My wife is 24weeks pregnant. She complained of extreme itchiness for past few days and read online about cholestasis. Her LFT details are below SGPT-406 SGOT - 254 ALP- 221. Should we start medications for the same or adopt some other course of action?

You need to start meds if advised by your gyneac. And cholestasis of pregnancy is a disorder that gets relieved after delivery however you need critical follow up as pre term labor, meconium stained liquor etc could occur in Rare cases. Need to monitor... It's important... And take meds when advised to.... Don't just take it lightly
