Hello,

You are suffering from itchiness between the knees, severe itchiness is also in the toes. The factors causing such type of itching are commonly scabies, contact dermatitis, psoriatic skin diseases, eczema, pruritus, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a dermatologist or skin specialist , get all required blood tests, skin tests, biopsy (if required).

You will be treated accordingly. You are suggested to take care of your hygiene. Avoid taking any food that triggers your symptoms like fishes, eggs, etc. Take bath regularly, clean the areas affected to antibacterial soap, dry it with a towel and apply hydrocortisone cream/ointment on the affected area.

It will relieve itching. Do not touch , scratch or pick. Change your clothes regularly. Do not share your clothes, towel or toiletries with anyone. Clean all your clothes& bedcovers with hot water and put your bedding under sunlight, clean the house/ room where you live. You can take non-sedating antihistamines twice daily , it will give you relieve.

After your test reports have come, you will be treated with antibiotics or corticosteroids(if needed). Get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. If the reports are positive, you will be treated with antivirals / antibiotics. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
