What Causes Severe Itching In The Anus?
Hi, i have been having this itching in my anus and after intense itching i would notice a small bump swelling from the itching...i got tired it it after continual application of anti bacterial and and anti fungal topical creams then i started applying toothpaste for about 4 days then i noticed peeling from there brownish in colour especially when i wipe down there...but i have also noticed the itching has stopped..what could be the implication of this please...

I think causes for severe itching at anus would be:
1) Improper hygiene
2) Worm infestation
3) Hemorrhoids
4) Anal fissure or fistula
5) Rarely allergy
So, I would suggest you to consult with physician for detailed history and proper management. Till that time you can apply Anovate ointment locally.
