What Causes Severe Itching In The Buttocks On The Left Side?

I have a severe itching on my a portion of my left leg, buttocks and hip area, but there are no eruption of rashes.It started about 2 weeks ago and I complain to my doctor, who gave me hydrocortisone cream. I am applying it but the itching won t stop. I gave birth 2 months ago. What could possibly cause the itching and want can I do to stop it.Thanks for the help.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Itching symptom what you are experiencing could be due to fungal infection of the skin.
Kindly apply Clotrimazole cream over the affected area. Take Tablet.Levocetirizine once a day along with it. Apply moisturizer cream over the area at bedtime.
Use medicated soap while taking bath.
Gradually, your symptoms should subside and you should feel better.
