What Causes Severe Itching In The Vagina?

I have a terrible itch on the outside of my vagina, my vulva. I had unprotected sex a month back when the itch started. It wasn t bad enough for me to pay attention to it then. But i kept scratching and the itch now keeps me up at night. I try not to sctrach in which case it turns white, and when i do scratch it becomes red, inflammed and unbearable. I repeat the itch only got worse after i sctratched it a lot. What OTC treatment can i use?

Hi I think you can use some antifungal ointments for local application like canestan but better to get evaluated by a gynecologist. You may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal to treat that. Hope it helps.
