thought I had a yeast infection, so the day before christmas I used monostate 1 day treatment with ovule, wipes and cream. Almost immediatly the itching got worse and burned to the point where I was unable to stand. Thought it was because the yeast infection was bad so I tried to wait 5min but after that took a shower and sat in the hot water for awhile. I rinsed off the outside and waited. Then I was able to bear the itchiness and pain. Allergic reaction? I used vagisil wipes after that(still burned) because I was afraid i completely wiped out all the medications and wanted it cleared for Christmas. Next day I felt much better but itchiness is slightly there around the opening to my vagina and now I have a bump near the Bartholen gland. I may have itched too much(tried to resist) and made the skin raw in that area. I was also previously tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia(both negative) when I had a recent bout of yeast infection(a month ago just before period). I know I should see my gyno(which I am in 7 days for my yearly) but wanted an answer. Should I try over the counter medication again, do you think it was an allergic reaction or should I wait till I see her(may see her sooner if it doesn t clear up). Sorry for the long question but wanted to be thorough and as a scientist I know details are important.
