What Causes Severe Itching On Arms Along With Prickling Sensation?

I am struggling with very severe, itchy arms....day and or night, keeps me awake at night, disruptive burning sensation, pin prickle sensations. Constantly putting on salves i.e. Acquaphor, benidryle, giving short term temporary relief. What can I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bumps and rashes on legs and arms. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like abnormal levels of vitamin B12 or other vitamins, potassium, calcium, or sodium , seafood toxins , carpal tunnel syndrome , poor blood supply to the affected area, injured nerve in your neck , herniated disk in your spine or migraine headache . I would suggest you to do light exercises to boost the blood flow , eat healthy diet and drink plenty of water . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan or MRI of spin or neck . Doctor mat refer you to neurologist in case of nerve problem . Doctor may prescribe nerve supplement along with anti inflammatory and recommend physical therapy .
