I have a friend that didn t answer until I called her. She has a broken hip and pelvis from a fall. the doctor has changed her from a muscle spasm medicine to Flexoril and now she is having itching on her head, elbows, bottom and legs. Is there a cream she can use to help the itch?

Hello

Thank you for posting at HCM.

The drug she is using right now is one the best available for her condition. Itching is one of the rare complications of the drug. You can consult with her doctor to regulate the doses or trying some alternative on the patient if itching is too much.

For now you can use any shampoo containing ketoconazole from market for head, and any ointment containing ketoconazole for other places.

Also you need to pay attention to her hygiene, as in case of debilitating diseases, hygiene is as important as drugs to not get additional diseases than the ones person is being treated for

Hope to have helped you

Thank you
