What Causes Severe Itching On Lips After Using Weed?

Hi so my friend smiles weed and does dip and I drank after him Saturday night and when I got home the part of skin under my bottom lip was uncontroallbly itching and it still is right now could I be having a allergic reaction to these substances even though I didn t partake in them?

As per your query you have severe itching on lips after using weed which is because of severe anaphylaxis reaction to cannabis the major ingredient in weed. It reduces the amount of saliva produced in the mouth due to its effects on the nervous system and causes itching and numbness of lips, mouth. It causes increased susceptibility to gum diseases and mouth caries.

I would suggest you to maintain good oral hygiene, such as brushing with fluoride toothpaste and flossing daily, along with regular dental visits may help minimize oral complications associated with weed smoking. Apply lip balm rich in Aloe Vera gel. Drink lots of water.

Take antihistamine drugs to prevent severe reaction. Your symptoms of allergy will away with in 24-48 hrs. Apply ghee on lips very frequently and keep them moisturized.
