What Causes Severe Itchy Labia Inspite Of Using Hydrocortisone Cream?
My mother is 78 years old and has had very itchy labia for the last month or so. What could this be? She has tried vaginal itch cream, A&D ointment, and hydrocortisone cream. Her regular doctor looked at it and wasn t concerned and told her to try diaper rash cream. It hasn t gone away and would like your opinion. Thanks.

Looking to the history and age she might be having atrophic dermatitis giving rise this problem.
Due to low estrogen level does cause this problem.
She might require application of some estrogen cream like Novelon cream.
This will definitely will give relief from her itching.
Consult Gynaec and get examined.
