Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I suffer from chronic pain and have since I was a teenager. it has always been there as an adult but it has recently become severe enough that I am seeking treatment options. I am not pursuing an opiated treatment plan. I am interested in a diagnosis first and then I will examine a proper treatment plan. I don t know if it s Chronic Fatigue, Fybramyalgia, MS or another auto immune disorder. I do suffer from diabetic neuropathy and take Gabapentin 600mg/3x/day. My pain however is in every joint in my body and I am never ever ever free from pain. Massage helps but the pain never leaves me. It s problematic now and I have to do something. My mission for the remainder of 2016 is to discover the cause of my pain.
I would suggest to do few tests, as you say your pain is since you are a teenager. I feel you may have arthritis so kindly do the test and make sure if it is so. Mostly you should be experiencing morning stiffness and more pain during cold climate. Kindly do your ESR, CRP and RA factor first.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jilu Joseph
