What Causes Severe Knee Pain After IM Rod Removal?

hi, ive had a IM rod placed in my femur 13 years now, been giving me pain daily. the first year my knee started aching, giving me excruciating pain where the screws were, had them removed. now my hip has been catching, giving away and now I have osteoarthritis and where the screw is ihave deep, sharp,aching pain daily. should I have the rod and hip screw removed?

Yes, but pain may be sign of chronic infection so you should do bone scintigraphy to rule this out. IM should always be removed sooner or later to prevent certain complications.
