General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

With extreme pain during knee movements may indicate underlying ligament or muscle sprain, strain or tear. My guidelines at present:
- Make an appointment with your sports physician or family physician for primary check up
- Local application of heating pad 5 minutes each 3 times a day
- Capsaicin cream or spray over the affected knee 4-5 times a day
- Analgesic tablet as ibuprofen with paracetamol 3 times a day after meals if no history of drug sensitivity preferably with antacid
- Avoid further sports till recovery

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
