You need to get treated for hernia as soon as possible. Coming to your weight problem, here are few suggestions I would give my patients to help them reduce body weight:
1) Whatever you eat, eat in very less quantity.
2) Intermittent fasting like 1 day in a week is important. On that day you can have only melons as food the whole day.
3) Completely avoid sugar.
4) Fresh fruits and vegetables are very important.
5) Meat can be consumed without deep frying and without adding much oil and fat.
6) Daily exercise (brisk walking would do) for 45 min a day and 5 days a week.
7) Say no to canned artificial foods, drinks containing sugars and soda.
Firstly you need to get consulted with a surgeon regarding
abdominal hernia. Then you can follow the above tips to reduce your weight. If hernia gets obstructed or strangulated, it will be an emergency. So better get rid of it early.
