What Causes Severe Leg Cramps While Being Predisposed Hypertensive?

My husband does not have heart disease but he has been diagnosed as pre-disposed hypertensive. He is taking several Rx s for HPB control. For the last few months he has been having severe full leg cramps during the night and he either drinks Gatorade or mixes salt in a small glass of water...but he rarely gets good relief. What do you recommend ?

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. Sorry about your husbands medical issue. But can you please report on the medications that he is taking. I do not know why he would be on more than one BP pill if he is pre-hypertensive. Specifically leg cramps at night point more towards restless leg syndrome. Please report back thanks.
