What Causes Severe Lower Back Pain And Blurred Vision While Treating Diabetes?
I haven t beem diagnosed with diabetes, but recently I have been having alot of lower back pain, blurry vision, lightheadedness, and my legs, ankles and feet have been swelling so yesterday I had a friend check my blood sugar and it was 277,I m am 41 year old female ,I was wondering should I be concerned? Should I go see a dr? Is there a chance I have diabetes
First, we should determine if you really have diabetes or not. So, need to run a few diagnostic tests including: - Fasting blood sugar - Oral glucose tolerance test - HbA1C test - Urine analysis - Complete blood count - Liver/kidney function test - Lipid profile testing - Thyroid function test (TSH, T4)
After evaluating these findings, we can give the final conclusion for you being a diabetic or not. Please try to fast at least for 8 hours before going for the tests. Discuss this further with your primary physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. All the best.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
