What Causes Severe Lower Back Pain While On Medication For Ketoacidosis?
I recently was in ER with Ketoacidosis and was put on insulin , metformin and one other pill. That was on 09/26/2016. I am now experiencing awful pain just above my waitline lower back on both sides. I am told I should see kidney specialist. But not sure.

Pain above the waistline on both sides could be due to kidney due to the anatomical location of the kidney at this site. I suggest you get an ultrasound abdomen to find out the cause of pain after consulting a physician.
