Hi, several weeks ago I turned my upper body to the right and immediately felt a slight twinge of pain in my right lower back. since then I have had right leg pain starting with radiating pain down the back of the leg. The most pain was in my calf radiating into my ankle. The muscles in the back of my leg are excruciatingly painful. Now, weeks later my right knee and behind it is painful and keeps me awake at night. Do you have any idea as to what could be causing this?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. You might have injured your lumber spine. That injury is compressing sciatic nerve and causing all your symptoms. So better to consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination and x ray of lumber spine. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. You will need physiotherapy and painkiller drugs. Bed rest is also advisable in some cases. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
