What Causes Severe Migraines After Snorting Methamphetamine?
I have been snorting meth and have Recently become addicted to doing it. I noticed that I have been getting extreme migraines or what I think is A migraine? On the left side of my head and I noticed two days ago I have a small about the size of a dime hard not behind my ear that is very tender could it be a swollen lymph node due to snorting drugs? I have never had migraines before and I’ve never had a lump behind my ear. Also my urine smells extremely strong and abnormal. I know I need to stop using and I have never been an addict before. Please help
The way methamphetamine works are that it lulls your body into a false sense of well-being, and makes you believe you have unlimited energy. You end up tending to push your body more than the normal.
As a result, you often experience a physical or mental crash. A migraine is not a known side effect of methamphetamines but could be a symptom of said crash, or even withdrawal.
With respect to the swollen lymph node, it is unlikely to have been caused by the meth. It is probably due to dandruff or a scalp infection.
Additionally, the urine smell may or may not be symptomatic. It could be due to dehydration, so I advise you to drink a lot of water.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
