What Causes Severe Migraines Along With Vomiting And Appetite Loss?
I have been having more extreme migraines than usual along with projectile vomiting, loss of appetite, bruising sensation on the top of my head and extreme heat going up my whole spine and into my head along with ringing in the ears and severe muscle pain and cramping of my upper arms into the shoulder and and jaw
It is important to have a clear diagnosis of your headache. There are several causes and the ones that are most common are migraine headache and tension headache (from muscular spasms). Sometimes when they are severe headaches important brain problems might need to be ruled out.
If the pain is typical of a migraine headache then you will need sumatriptan as soon as a headache starts. If it is a tension headache (muscular) you will need to take Ibuprofen and paracetamol.
A healthy lifestyle is important, exercising, eating healthy and avoiding excessive use of coffee and alcohol and not smoking.
If you notice you don't improve with these you will need a visit with your doctor to rule out problems with the brain like brain masses or other conditions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
