Hello,
You are suffering from pain and have history of
depression. You have been taking Proxac for depression for a long period. Any medicine taken for a long period can cause side effects. You are suggested to get clinically examined by your treating doctor or GP, get a complete medical check up done.
You will have to get all required blood tests, investigations and imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you pain and discomfort, you will be accordingly treated. Musculoskeletal side effects of the medicine you have been taking are muscle twitching,
arthralgia,
leg cramps, bone pain, arthritis, myalgia,
osteoporosis, back pain, etc.
You are advised to report your symptoms to your treating doctor so that the medicine can be replaced with some other medicine that will suit you better. Get any chronic disease detected treated as early as it can so that you get relieved of the symptoms that cause you discomfort.
You are suggested to get connected to a Physical therapist so that your symptoms can be treated with therapies like
talk therapy,
massage therapy, cognitive
behavioral therapy, etc. Do regular walking, exercises and take home made healthy fresh balanced food. Avoid any kind of anxiety and stress (emotional and physical), avoid addictions if any, do not smoke, do not take alcohol / drugs, etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
