Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am experiencing severe muscle atrophy. I have had the injury for many years but it was managable and didn t impede me exercising. Ever since a chiro did some work on me it has gotten severe. I have seen neurologists and show no sign of nerve damage or disease. But it s just getting worse. No one seems to know what is causing it. If it s not nerves then what ?
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your symptoms of muscle atrophy following a previous history of injury I am strongly believing you have developed a lower motor neuron lesion There are other possible causes as well which as follows Gullian Barry syndrome Spinal transverse myelitis Spinal cord compression Neurosyphilis Spinal cord injury Spinal cord tumor In view of this please do an MRI to rule out this conditions Meanwhile please see your neurologist with the result and for further expect clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription I hope this helps
