What Causes Severe Muscle Twitching In Kidney Area?

Hi im having some spasms/twitching last 3 days on the left side of my back between 4-7 inches above my waist line and two inches from my spine. Basicaly the kidney area. Feels more like a muscle but not sure. No pain or sickness , just uncomftorable feeling of consant twitch. Im 6ft , 23yrs old. 160 pounds and in good shape, i exersice 3 times a week . Any idea what this constant twitching might be? - kyle

Hi! The area you are referring to has a bunch of muscles called Paraspinal muscles which are necessary for the stability of your posture and your movements. Hence small muscle injuries can cause a lot of pain/discomfort while movement.
You just need local analgesic gel or spray and need to rest . Restrict all strenuous activities and especially those which involve heavy weight lifting.
