What Causes Severe Nasal Bleeding?

For the past 3 days I have had a bleeding nose - usually when I wake up in the morning. I just had one a few minutes ago. This has come out of nowhere. Can my c-Pap machine be causing this? I saw my doctor approx. 4 weeks ago and my blood pressure has been running 120 - 125 over 70 - 75. Should I make an appointment to see my doctor ASAP? What can be causing these nose bleeds?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
Continuous positive airway pressure therapy (CPAP machine) is given to help a person who has obstructive sleep apnea to breathe more easily during sleep.It can have complication of severe nasal bleeding as well as nasal discomfort. however there are other condition also that can cause nasal bleeding as follow

1. Defect in clotting mechanism or Use of blood thinning medications
2.Hypertension (high blood pressure)
3.Trauma, including self-induced by nose picking

These things should be ruled out firstly for nasal bleeding & then emphysis should be given on cpap machine.
