What Causes Severe Nosebleeds With Large Clots Along With Spitting Blood?
My friend was diagnosed with Hep C when she was 7. Shes had 2 severe nosebleeds with large clots coming out in the past month. The first time she said she was having pain in her side so I took her to the hopsital, she had broncitis. They didnt seem concerned at all that a clot about 4 inches long and about a half inch wide came out of her nose. Shes also spitting out blood too. Is there something more we should be doing and what would be causing the severe nosebleeds that are completely random?

Hi,
Hepatitic C is a notorious infection if it damages liver and if it don't and remains as guest it usually do not cause symptoms but a person is a carrier. Regarding nose bleed, there are so many causes, the common causes are non-specific, mass within nose, hypertension, deficiency of clotting factors.
General advice:
1. Cold water showering your head
2. Use some nasal decongestant.
Next Step:
1. Get yourself examined by an ENT specialist
2. Have blood counts, liver function test and co-agulation profiles.
