What Causes Severe Numbness In The Finger After Taking Xanax Tablet?
i am currently 33 years old. i suffer high anxiety...to the point that i cant sleep at night for i will wake up thinking i may die at any time or from nightmares. I was prescribed xanax, but during the day i am too exhausted to take them. i started to get numbness in my fingers today. any idea?
In addition to the xanax, if you have a high level of anxiety, you should be on additional medications such as one of the SSRIs or other anxiety treatment.
Xanax alone would not effectively treat your anxiety. You may need to see your doctor for a review or see another doctor for assessment.
Numbness in the fingers can be due to different causes and may not be permanent. Causes include(1) arthritis is the neck/shoulder/elbow or wrist joint compressing the nerves (2)trauma (3)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency (4)carpal tunnel syndrome (5)diabetes
I hope this helps
