What Causes Severe Pain And Bleeding From Ear?

My 12 year old daughter has sudden bleeding from the ear. She says it is paining and blood is just pouring out of the ear. Is it serious? do I have to rush her to the hospital. What can it be?She did not put anything in her ear. all of a sudden it just started bleeding.

I understand your concern for your 12 year old daughter.
Pain and bleeding from the ear could be due to acute otitis media. There could be opening of tympanic membrane through small perforation.
She needs to be examined by ENT surgeon and treated with analgesics and antibiotics. If it is a small perforation, then it would heal completely with treatment.
Kindly consult ENT specialist in this regard at the earliest for appropriate management.
