What Causes Severe Pain And Cramps In Right Leg?
MY HUSBAND HAS PERIPHRAL ARTERY DISEASE IN R LEG AND FOOT AND IS SUFFERING LAST 2 DAYS BWITH SEVERE LEG CRAMPS, HE IS IN ALOT OF PAIN. WE HAVE TRIED ICE,AND STRETCHING AND EVEN THOUGH THE CRAMP LETS UP IT COMES RIGHT BACK. COULD THIS BE A BLOOD CLOT ?WE ARE TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF HIS DOCTOR THIS MORNING BUT THEY ARE NOT OPEN YET, SHOULD WE GO TO EMERGENCY ROOM?

I really appreciate your concern, what the history and symptoms being given here could be due to clot and it needs to be ruled out and for this the only option is Doppler study, keep the leg in elevated position and better to see the ER hope this information helps
